Patricia Heaton says Pixar ‘castrated’ Buzz by not casting Tim Allen in Lightyear — Entertainment Weekly

Buzz Lightyear to Star Command, come in. Star Command, come in. Do you read me?

Fine, Star Command. Have it your way. I’ll talk and you listen. That seems to be how this relationship functions best anyways. Look Star Command, I’ve got a little problem. Well, no little isn’t the right word. It’s actually a pretty good sized problem or at the very least, it’s an average to above average problem. You see reports have come out from the bowels of the ARPANET sector that a certain Space Ranger is a little bit lacking in the downstairs department. Well, Star Command, more than a little lacking in fact. The reports have stated that a certain Space Ranger, originally sent to planet Earth to stop the evil Emperor Zurg, has been castrated. Even more confounding is that the reports have not come from any kind of governmental source or extra-planetary council, but instead a former sit-com star of some renown. Let’s not beat around the bush here Star Command, those reports are about me, Buzz Lightyear, and I want to clear the air by saying that whatever I have going below the gadget belt is my business and mine alone.
